Founder note
Hi — I'm Gibran Rubio. I run Green Tech Packaging in Austin, and I'm starting Retention Cakes with my father, who spent 25 years running B2B perishable-goods distribution in the US. He recently relocated to Mexico City and is our operations lead there.
The reason we're starting this: physical gifting works, and everyone knows it, but doing it well at scale is a logistical nightmare. When can I get my first cake delivered?
Austin: within 7 days of order. Mexico City: within 14 days of order (launching September 2026).
Can I see the branding before it ships?
Yes. We send you a photo of the printed topper for approval before delivery.
What if my prospect isn't at the office?
We coordinate a delivery time via phone. If they're unreachable, we hold the cake up to 48 hours or refund.
Is this actually good cake?
Yes. We only partner with world-class bakeries. If any customer's recipient tells you the cake wasn't excellent, we refund the campaign. No questions.
How do you handle food allergies?
We ask you to flag any known allergies at order time. Our bakery partners can accommodate gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free. Add $10/cake for dietary substitutions.
